English side Tottenham Hotspur are favourites to sign Real Madrid's Dutch striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
The former Manchester United forward has been on the sidelines for most of the recently concluded campaign through a series of injuries and new president Florentino Perez admitted that the prolific striker is surplus to requirements at the Bernabau.
The People claims that Harry Redknapp has contacted the Spanish giants who have in turn given the green light that 1.5 million euros will be enough to take Van Nistelrooy back to England.
Van Nistelrooy was one of the most prolific strikers in the English game in the past decade with 150 goals scored for the Red Devils before joining Real in 2006.
